But, believe me, it can be difficult

The truth is I don't really know how I was able to live withouth him, ever. This small fellow (not so small, he's already 10 lb 6 oz = 4,7 kg and measures over 53 cm) is the center of my life now and it's truly a miracle. Though sometimes it seems that a miracle will be to live through next hour and than a miracle means i did it and through more hours i could possibly think I can. But I just plainly love him.

We're slowly adjusting to life with a baby. It means constant worry about him, his health and all , constant watching his behavior for any signs of illness, checking temperature and trying to find reasons for whatever makes us worry. Especially now when he still has nose congestion and some coughing associated with it. Plus some spitting of milk and some problems with bowels movements. Are those conected or no? Are they signs of real sickness or just norml for the baby? At times it's really difficult not to get overwhelmed and carried away, And than comes few of hours of calmness and rest when he's sleeping soundly like he never had any problems. But You never know when it will start again. Nothing really bothering, just don't have any clue where the time goes. Sometimes don't even have time to eat or don't remember to or just don't feel like eating. Never watched so much tv but there is really nothing else to do when You're sitting down and feeding baby one hour or just try to calm him down and put him to sleep than again feed him. I'm turning into tv-psycho-addict. But all of that doesn't matter. His smile is worth everything. And he's growing so quickly. He already weights 9lb 9oz (about 4,5 kg). And his legs and arms turned into cute sausages, lol.

Two weeks

Matthew is already two weeks old and believe me, it went by soooo quickly. Every day I'm amazed that he's here and look at him with awe. He's growing so fast. When we brought him home most of clothes for 0-3 months were too big, now most of them is perfect.
He isn't colicy baby after all. He doesn't cry a lot, mostly when he's hungry or has wet diaper. Sometimes he just likes to snack and nap which can be difficult for us but doesn't indicate real problem. I heard a lot of boys are like that, especially those few first months. But he also sleeps soundly a lot and we are getting into normality.
Yesterday we had visitors and he was just a doll. Sleeping nicely during all visit with just a birief breaks for eating and diapering. Perhaps we should invite more poeple and more often, lol.

Matthew was born on Sunday Nov 5th at 12.25AM. He weighted 3360 g and was 50,5 cm and is adorable. That's my bigest acomplishment in life. He was born two weeks earlier due to my too high blood presure. Delivery was provoked and took 20 hours starting with first pill.
I'm getting well. He's a little colicy baby so has some issues with his sleeping and eating patterns but hopefully it will end in few weeks or months as with most babies.
